We hold training classes at the Village Hall, Backwell every Monday at 8pm.
Matches are held every 2nd Monday of the month but please check with secretary.
WCDC have been holding ringcraft/training classes in Backwell for over 20 years. Training sessions are held every Monday night (excl Bank Holidays) inside Backwell Village Hall during the colder/wet months or outside on Backwell Recreational Ground during summer.
 
Training classes are run by  experienced members and breeders  to train and advise members, new and old, on skills and techniques of showing a dog at all levels from Championship shows, open shows, matches and Companion shows. You will receive friendly advice, tips and help on;
  • Socialisation of a puppy
     
  • How to present your dog
     
  • Movement exercises for both dog and handler
     
  • Being handled by experienced instructors
     
  • Shows, how to to enter or any query regarding filling in documentation, forms etc
     
  • Meeting members from other breeds
     
All we ask is that participants are a member of the WCDC club (current membership is £2.50 per year single and £3.50 Joint) and contribute £1.50 to each class. Coffee and tea will be available during the interval at a small cost
